I brought my beloved Mac to the repair guy on Friday only to find that he is no longer in business, at least not in that location. It was a real pain too because I work at the top of a very long hill and I had lugged the thing up the hill to work then down to the repair place, then back up the damn hill to bring it to another place! Of course, I took the bus to do all the lugging. I brought it to our friendly neighborhood Mac sales and service place, Small Dog and they loaned me a loaner while they repair mine. It’s a newer model, but I miss my own computer. They really do become personal before too long.
In the studio the Monster is coming a long. It’s good fun to make.
These are monster feet waiting for another layer or two of paper mache. I said before that I was using the techniques laid out by Dan Reeder, but not all of his techniques. He puts a final layer of cloth over his creations, but I will continue with paper.
The arms and hands need a little fleshing out before I put more layers of paper on them. And I also did the tongue.
Its not much to look at, but knowing what it is makes it kinda freaky to me.
And lastly the Woblins are gessoed and ready to be painted. That’s always the fun part, but I will need to scare up some inspiration for that.
Actually, I take part of that back. The bottoms need to be gessoed, then they’ll be ready to paint. See how I just bought myself a little time there! Whew!
